What is Sparrow Coach?
Sparrow Coach is an AI golf coach that analyzes your swing videos and gives you fast, personalized feedback—what to fix, why it matters, and what to do next.

How does Sparrow know what’s wrong with my golf swing?
Sparrow analyzes your swing video frame-by-frame and evaluates key swing checkpoints (setup, backswing, transition, impact). It looks for patterns across multiple metrics (like club path, rotation, weight shift), then turns those findings into actionable coaching cues and drill suggestions.

How can I edit my account information?
In the app:

  • Go to Settings → Account

  • Update your profile details (name, email, etc.)

If you signed up with Apple, some fields may be managed through that provider.

How do I log in?
Sparrow Coach uses one-time passcodes (OTP). Enter your phone number or email, and we’ll send you a code to sign in—no password needed.

I didn’t get my login code. What should I do?
Try these steps:

  • Wait 30–60 seconds and tap Resend code

  • Double-check you entered the correct phone/email

  • Check spam/junk/promotions (email)

  • Make sure you have cell service and can receive SMS (phone)

  • If you’ve requested multiple codes, use the most recent one

  • If it still won’t arrive, contact support at coach@sparrowup.com

Can I use both email and phone to log in?
Yes—if you add and verify both, you can sign in using either one.

PRIVACY & DATA

Will anyone else see the videos I upload to Sparrow Coach?
No. Your uploads are private and are not visible to other users.

Does Sparrow store my videos?
Right now, Sparrow uses your video to generate analysis results and doesn’t store your raw videos long-term.


We may offer optional video saving/history in the future—and if we do, you’ll be able to delete your videos.

Is my data used to train Sparrow’s AI?
We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve Sparrow (for example: which drills help most, what features are used, overall accuracy trends).


We do not use your raw videos to train third-party models without your explicit opt-in.

What happens if I delete my account?
When you delete your account:

  • Your account information and analysis history are removed from Sparrow’s systems.

  • Since Sparrow doesn’t store raw videos long-term, there’s no video library tied to your account to remove.

Does Sparrow sell my data?
No. We don’t sell your data.


We may share limited info with trusted vendors needed to run the service (hosting, analytics, processing) under strict confidentiality and security requirements.

TECHNICAL & SETUP

What phones work best with Sparrow?
For the best experience, we recommend iPhone 13 or newer (better video quality and processing speed). Newer devices generally give faster uploads and cleaner analysis.

Do I need a tripod or special setup?
Not required, but a tripod or phone stand is highly recommended for consistency.
Tips:

  • Stable camera (tripod/stand)

  • Good lighting

  • Full body and club visible in frame

Do I need headphones? Which ones work best?
Headphones are highly recommended for the best coaching experience—especially wireless earbuds like AirPods. They make Sparrow’s voice coaching easier to hear and reduce echo.

Some Bluetooth headphones work better than others depending on your phone and connection. If audio sounds delayed, choppy, or too quiet:

  • Try AirPods (or another well-known wireless earbud)

  • Disconnect and re-connect Bluetooth

  • Turn Bluetooth off/on, then reopen Sparrow

  • If issues persist, try a different pair of headphones or use your phone speaker in a quiet space

What subscription plans are available?

  • Free: 10 free sessions

  • Pro ($29.99/mo) or ($119.99/yr): Unlimited swings and sessions

  • Family ($179.99/yr): Up to 4 accounts
    7-day free trial; cancel anytime via App Store.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Manage in App Store (iOS). Turn off auto-renewal 24+ hours before renewal.

HEALTH & LEGAL

Is Sparrow medical advice?
No. Sparrow provides golf swing feedback only. If you have pain, injuries, or medical concerns, consult a qualified professional before training or playing.

Who can use Sparrow Coach?
Sparrow Coach is intended for users 13+. If you’re under 18, you should use Sparrow with a parent/guardian’s permission.

What if Sparrow’s analysis is wrong?
Sparrow provides coaching suggestions, not guarantees. If something feels off, use your judgment—your safety comes first. We recommend using Sparrow as a helpful training tool alongside instruction, not as a replacement for a coach.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Why won’t my video be analyzed?
Most common causes:

  • Low light or blurry video

  • Camera moved/shook during the swing

  • Golfer/club not fully visible

  • Slow or unstable internet

  • Try re-recording with better lighting and a steadier angle, then upload again.

Does Sparrow work offline?
No. Sparrow requires an internet connection to upload and process video analysis.

How do I contact support?
Email coach@sparrowup.com. We typically respond within 48 hours.
